Hurricane 2.0 has a double filter system, present on both sides of the device.
This allows for particularly high performance:

Each filter element described below is double (present on both sides of the device).
PRE-FILTERS
They retain dust and particles larger than 5 microns, such as pollen, coarse dust, hair, animal hair.
They can be washed with running water many times and reused repeatedly.
TWO HIGH-EFFICIENCY HEPA H13 FILTERS
Two high-efficiency HEPA H13 filters retain, with a percentage of 99.97%, very small particles up to a diameter of 0.1 microns, such as:
- PM 2.5, PM 10, fine dust particles;
- bacteria and germs suspended in the air (e.g. Legionella bacteria have a diameter greater than 20 nanometers, therefore they are effectively filtered);
- mold, allergens, smoke…
Viruses have dimensions normally recognized between 0.02 and 0.30 microns.
For example, Coronaviruses have dimensions between 0.10 and 0.15 microns as highlighted by a study by Università San Raffaele.
They therefore can be retained by HEPA H13 filters.
Furthermore, viruses spread in the environment because they adhere to larger particles found in the air, and are airborne by them.
Reducing airborne particulate matter, therefore, allows for an almost total reduction in microbiological contamination, including viral contamination.
TWO ACTIVATED CARBON FILTERS
A bacteriostatic activated carbon filter with a honeycomb surface is coupled to each of the HEPA filters.
Its function is to reduce pollution due to
organic compounds:
- formaldehyde (which comes from furniture, furnishing elements,…);
- benzene;
- solvents;
- odors,…
DUAL UVC SYSTEM
UVC systems use light at a UV wavelength of 253.7
nanometers, to deactivate bacteria, viruses, pathogens
dispersed in the air.
These systems are recognized for their effectiveness and widely used for disinfecting air, surfaces and water.
AIR IONIZATION FUNCTION
Activated automatically when turned on, it generates negative ions, also called “air vitamins”.
They are found in abundance in nature near the sea, near waterfalls, during a storm.
The presence of electronic equipment in closed environments causes an increase in positive ions in the air, which can cause stress and a feeling of tiredness and fatigue.
The generation of negative ions in the air attenuates this phenomenon, bringing attention, productivity and stress back to optimal values.
Negative ions also have beneficial effects on our body, promoting cellular metabolism and strengthening the immune system.
